Introducing the Baseballism Wet Sox
Baseballism is proud to introduce our first team identity creation and sponsorship project, the Baseballism Wet Sox. As fans of the brand know, two of our core objectives are telling rich baseball stories through great design, and giving back to the game that got us to where we are. The partnership with the Wet Sox accomplishes both of those core brand ethos, and we're excited to share the results.
About the project
Baseballism was approached by Wet Sox General Manager Mason Wright, a close friend of the brand, about sponsoring his Hillsboro, Oregon based American Legion summer ball team. A project like this is something we'd been talking about for quite some time, so when the opportunity to work with a team right in our own back yard arose we took the project on with excitement and enthusiasm.
"As a high school American Legion coach, it has always been important for me to cultivate a culture of community, competitiveness, and family. When the opportunity arose to work with Baseballism, a company dedicated to the same core values we instill in our players, it was a no-brainer. The Baseballism team represents a brand founded on respect for the game and citizenship. Our Wet Sox players wear the Flag Man with pride, knowing the opportunity to be part of this journey is a tremendous privilege."
- Mason Wright: Wet Sox General Manager
Everyone who follows Baseballism knows that high-level baseball storytelling and great design are the foundation of everything we create. When initially talking about this project, we immediately knew that we wanted to create something bigger than a mere Baseballism-branded uniform package. Baseballism handled the entire design and creation process of the Wet Sox brand (team name, logo package, uniform design, etc.).
"The Wet Sox project afforded us the opportunity, for the first time in the brand's history, to create a real-life baseball team identity system from scratch. Our team essentially treated this project like a Farm Ball project that we knew was going to actually see the field. We dove deep into story as we always do, as our number one goal was to land on a finished product that these kids could be proud of... Something that they would feel represented them and where they're from... And beyond that, point blank, we wanted to create the best high school baseball brand identity in the country. I believe the Wet Sox accomplishes all of those goals. What a fun project for our team to be part of."
- Ryan Wantland: Baseballism Chief Brand Officer
